Aperto® Networks? PacketWave® wireless bridges offer a high-speed, cost-effective IP Ethernet bridge connection between locations with unprecedented interference resilience and minimal spectrum usage.
The point to point products support a wide range of applications including high-speed backhaul of Wi-Fi? hot spots, video surveillance links, a higher capacity alternative to Telecom E1 connections and enterprise environments from one building to another.
PacketWave® 600 bridges offer a very competitive and simple to use wireless link to transfer data, voice and video link between two points. The product is available at the new UK 5.8GHz band C.
Features:
- 20 Mbps data rate per 6 MHz channel, 12 Mbps net throughput
- Max range in 5.8GHz band up to 35 miles, [12 miles (22km) with UK regulatory restrictions]
- Automatic Frequency Selection (AFS) to dynamically change channels during high error rates
- SNMP and Web-based management
- Synchronization between units to support co-location of links and use of contiguous channels
- External Antenna connector for optional high gain antennas
- High Interference Resilience by using Aperto?s OptimaLink® adaptive technology
- Low latency mode - ping times typically 10ms
PacketWave® products provide extremely reliable and high quality wireless links in real world environments by offering high interference immunity through Aperto?s OptimaLink® technology. OptimaLink dynamically changes up to 10 wireless and network parameters on a burst-by-burst basis. This provides a spectrally efficient link that is robust enough to handle a wide variety of radio interference or non Line of Sight conditions.
The PacketWave® wireless bridges are the first to offer a synchronization option providing you the ability co- locate up to 32 wireless bridge units at the same location. Multiple units can be configured on adjacent channels with no frequency separation requirements.
External antenna connectors provide the flexibility to use various antenna options to address range requirements.
